The hotel rooms were beautifully arranged with wide windows that allowed you to watch the sun rise and set from your bed. The rooms do not have TVs, kettles, and the fridge did not work. The service took great care into every detail of the experience, despite the race of their guests. The location is perfect, secluded, away from the hustle and bustle, providing a perfect time to switch off. The dining experience was very good, except for one morning when the waiter had the day off, leading to a long wait for service.

Staying at this hotel felt like being in a gracious private home with white slipcovers, local antiques, stunning paintings, and lots of books. The rooms were spacious, clean, and boasted beautiful sea views. The service was incredibly accommodating and helpful throughout our stay. The location couldn't have been more perfect to enjoy amazing evening sunsets and the sights of Lamu across the bay. Dining was generally very good, although there was a slight hiccup one morning with service delay. Overall, a fabulous experience with some minor dining issues.
